Generally, what is Gumilyov Eurasian National University like?

In the truth, it's the second best university after N.Nazarbaev university in Kazkahstan. There come only a few exchange students so if you come here, you will live in the middle of kazakh culture. Bear in mind that you might be the only exchange student in your group, so if you are interested in kazakh culture this university is the best one. But if you are interested in exchange student's fun life, i don't recommend it

What are the facilities like?

I can give mark 4,5 out of 5. There are several buildings and the main building and the library are the more beautiful ones. Actually the main building is modern and beautiful.

What are the tutors like?

If you are gonna study maths teachers there are so tough. They are so straight. But, anyway, everyone should remember that in everywhere,there are teachers who teach just for earning for life not because of loving this profession. Generally, teachers are good here.

Are the lessons easy in Gumilyov Eurasian National University ?

I cannot say that. It's really hard to study here. Everyday you will get so many homeworks and midterm exams are really tough and the material you study is really huge so that's the main problem.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

Yes, they organize some parties like ballroom party and others. But it's a bit different than in Europe, they don't go to the clubs, even if they go, it's very rare. They prefer to enjoy watching concerts and after concerts everyone goes home.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

Yes, about this university I can say that.
