No es mala, la más importante es la University of Edinburgh, pero de amigos míos que estudian allí me dijeron que está bien. Yo sólo conozco el campus de Edimburgo, no el de Galashiels, pero no tiene mala pinta.

Yo voy en septiembre a Heriot Watt en el primer semestre. Lo que me ha sorprendido es que el primer semestre sólo es desde el 13 de septiembre al 18 de diciembre :S es MUY poco tiempo.

That's a normal semester for any British university.

HW is my home uni and I love it for languages, and it's good for engineering and sciency stuff too.

It's a bit far out of the city centre but I don't think it's really a problem. This year I lived right in the heart of the city centre and went out to uni every day with no problems :)

Hmm! Heriot Watt university seems nice, the people here are friendly, but the standard of education could have been a lot better, when it comes to engineering. They have almost everything that is required in terms of teaching and training, but the level to dedication, the teachers or the professors have are a little under the level of expectation, for me, they try to make theories easier, thus providing a blurr idea sometimes like, you might start thinking that this course is easy whereas they actually gave you only yhr stuff that are easier to you and not the actual, this in return leades to a confused idea of the overall course. Some of the professors are good, but the order of the lectures are a little too random, they somehow expect you to find out all the stuff yourself.....but as a consquence your deduction ability increases. so yes, I think maybe this is the idea behind everything that goes around here, but we youare in the middle of the semester you are little afraid but when you do it, you know, that you are good and self reliant.

But its always better to make friends and have fun.

hey guys!!!
just inscribed and looking forward to get as much info as possible about edinburgh.
i m silvana from italy. i m a medical student. i m 23.
i m going to spend 2 months (may and june) for my medical internship at the royal infirmary. it s pretty close to the citycentre.
i dont know that much about the city and either about how to rent a flat.
i mean, i think it will be kinda of hard find smt cheap and coffy for 2 months, but i hope i ll menage it anyway.
is there anybody who is looking for a roomie?
i was an erasmus student last year, and i know how to have fun! ehehehe can t wait to make new friends and enjoy the city .

Hi Guys,

We have rooms and apartments for Erasmus students. We're one of the only properties in Edinburgh that offers students rooms from as little as one semester and as much as a full year. We work regularly with the universities and colleges to provide a safe and social place for our students.

All bills are included (heating, electricity, fast 4MB internet, contents insurance), we have fast internet so students can video skype home and we offer many international channels and sports channels. It's perfect for European and International students, because all bills are included and the booking can all be done online.

We're based very close to the centre of Edinburgh, and on the bus route to all the major colleges and Edinburgh universities. We're also very close to Telford College. We also organise social events so that Erasmus students can meet and get to know each other.
