What is it like to live in Edimburgo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Edinburgh is very lively and student friendly. There are certain areas which are heavily populated by students from the 4 universities, and there are other areas which are more popular with working adults. I would 100% recommend Edinburgh, as it is so full of culture which appeals to everyone.
What is the student lifestyle like in Edimburgo?
Edinburgh is really good for students, with loads of student nights with cheap drink and entry. There are so many quirky bars which are also really cheap! In terms of other avtivities such as sport and entertainment, there are hundreds of options, such as football, rugby, cinema and lots of shopping and restuarants.
How much does it cost to live in Edimburgo?
Rent in Edinburgh can be quite expensive, with the average flat costing around £500. There are lots of shops and supermarkets which offer cheap food and drinks, so the overall price is not too bad considering it is a capital city.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Edimburgo? Is there any advice you can give?
It is not difficult, however it is very competitive when the time comes, and so it is important not to expect to find a dream flat within the first few viewings.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is great, there are not many stereotypical scottish foods, however there are great options for all world cuisines.
What places would you recommend visiting in Edimburgo?
The castle, Camera Obscurer, Grass Market (there is a market every Saturday), Mary's milkbar, The museum, the royal mile, botanitcal gardens, princes street, stockbrigde, dean village, the zoo, portobello (for the beach), the meadows, Princes street Gardens and George street for all of the nice bars.

Yeah, some favourites are Ting Thai Caravan, Topolabamba, Candybar, the Dogs and there are so many nice cafes and lunch options, one of my favourites are the baked potato shop.
Is the nightlife good in Edimburgo? Where is good to go?
The nightlife is good, the best student places are Why not, Shanghai, Liquid rooms and Silk.
What advice would you give future students heading to Edimburgo?
It is quite expensive if you don't budget your money, however there are also lots of free things that you can do! Scottish people are really friendly, and there are so many international people who live, work and study in the city center.
