Dushanbe sometimes is called the city of students due to mass domestic relatocting of youth in the counrty with the porpose of studying in the capital. Meanwhile Dushanbe is very cheap which is an ideal city for the students.

If you economise 100 USD is the maximum amount of money which you can spend per month, otherwise 250-300 USD- for one month where you can enjoy your time, nightlife, eating outside and many more.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Dushanbe? Is there any advice you can give?

I have lived to Moscow and Almaty but faced many dificulties in finding an accomondation, specially in Almaty for students its very hard because many owners prefer family rather than students and much more worse is that if you are a foreigner it is almost imposible. But Dushanbe is an exception in this issue. You can find any type of flat/house easily.There are reailtor estate agencies everywhere which can help you in finding an accomondation only in 20 0r 30 USD or via websites which are free or charge and it is between you and the owner.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are few Western restaurants in Dushanbe but you can taste traditional cuisine which is perfect and of course very cheap. The price for one time eating costs around 3 to 5 USD (it includes the meal, drinks and desserts).
