Working for a big Middle Eastern Airline

I had the honor to work for 3 years for one of the big Middle Eastern Airlines based in Dubai as a stewardess. It gave me the possibility to travel all over the world and to explore the places to which I would normally never have access. In one month I used to set foot on 4 different continents. And when I needed to buy something as Dubai is super expensive, I would know exactly where to go. If I need a new iPhone, simply ask for a flight to the United States. If you need some nice skincare, creames and facemasks, head to the Asian countries, especially Korea or Taiwan.

The job itself was not easy. It is much more than being a simple waitress in the air and to serve food and beverages as many people think. There are so many aspects, especially the ones regarding safety that you have to pay attention to. You have to be able to evacuate the whole aircraft in 90 seconds with the help of your colleagues.

It is a job that drains you phisically and psychologically. Dealing with demanding passengers that are shouting at you just as the cross the thresholds to the aircraft and imagine they are kings and queens for the things you had nothing to do with etc. Doing the long range flight in durantion from 10 to 14 hours was also not an easy thing. Once you reach your destination, you are dead tired, yet when you put yourself in those nice and comfy hotel bedsheets, you cannot sleep because of the jetlag. Then once you finally manage to sleep, you wake up at 6am local time and feel like having dinner. This is just a part of the package this job includes.
