It is very historical city. Diyarbakır has a lot historical places, mosques, walls, the churches, and the Dicle river. I would recommend it definitely. It is hot in summer.
What is the student lifestyle like in Diyarbakir?
The student lifestyle is social, travel in city and visit to Bridge, mosque, oldest walls.
How much does it cost to live in Diyarbakir?
I may say it is really so cheap. Every things is cheaper than other cities. Because people are live in diyarbakır, they are not so rich. There are poor humans even middle status people. But rich is not much.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Diyarbakir? Is there any advice you can give?
There are a lot hotels, motels, and pension but if you are students you may stat in some dormitory. Even the human is in Diyarbakır they are so hospitable. You may stay with them.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Especially Diyarbakır's food is so delicious, there are so much kebaps menus. Food culture is not vegetarian, there are so good by meal.
What places would you recommend visiting in Diyarbakir?
You may visit Ulucamii mosgue, On Gözlü Köprü (Bridge by ten eyes), Dört Ayakli Minare(minaret by four foot), Diyarbakır Walls and more.
Is it good to eat out in Diyarbakir? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Of course it is good, but not after 12 am. There are a few night clubs but not so many. But there are enough restaurants. Especially: Tavacı Recep Usta.
Is the nightlife good in Diyarbakir? Where is good to go?
Night life is not so good, because it is a believer city and religion is holy. But you can see some places for enjoy in night.
What advice would you give future students heading to Diyarbakir?
If you wonder to see historical city you may heading in here. It is a natural town.
