good professors, but wouldn't go again

Professors were great. On the contrary of Spanish easy-goingness they all had a vocation. As a private university, the professors acted as personal tutors and helped me on every request in advancing with my papers. The new library, beatiful campus and the city center location are great, too.

The sports and student program (also Buddy program) is better at the public university. I really would have needed only a little assistance with a wink towards a good sailing school - but the guidleline is clear- no profit, no advice. San Sebastian campus offers a better Erasmus activities program.

Deusto is flashy, expensive and private (you get good value for money with a free Erasmus ride) - but the level of the Master ist what my home university offers in the Bachelor - that's easy points guys!

The administration was not very straight forward, and the language center was a mess for me - putting me 2 levels too low and only letting paying customers change course.

The worst was the housing. It really ruined my positive experience. Billing utilities of four houses to each flat monthly (that was 10x the actual cost) - and don't pay the last month, deposits are generally lost. You'll need the assistance of a program, basque are greedy, you don't necessarily get anything in exchange for a high price and you really need to watch out, many students get hurt. The university knew and remained silent on my explicit request for marketing purposes.

Before choosing a place for Erasmus, I would make sure the university offers assistance in housing and good activities. Also, be aware of job offers. People like to take advantage of young foreigners. It's a short semester or year and should be fun - it's a once in your lifetime experience.
