Its a cool vibrant city , filled with amazing and welcoming people. Its a city that is rapidly developing so theirs always new things arising and opening. Yes i would recommend it because it will give people a chance to expirence something that is totally different and new. The city is alive but the people have a very chilled mentality. We call it a pole pole life style. Meaning slow slow life style.

What is the student lifestyle like in Dar Es Salaam?

The student lifestyle isnt very accomodating but it is possible to survive. The areas close to large universities are more accomodating.

How much does it cost to live in Dar Es Salaam?

An average lifestyle - $10 to $15

It is difficult to find a place so you must find an agent to help you.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is amazing, alot of flavour. Most of the food is fresh in other words organic.
My favourite dish is sekela chicken and chapati.

What places would you recommend visiting in Dar Es Salaam?

Theirs a few places that i would recommend, the beaches, near by islands mbudja and bongoyo islands the local bars where you would enjoy good food for an afordable price.

Is it good to eat out in Dar Es Salaam? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes it is, theirs all different types of dining, from local to fine dinning depends on what you would like to have. Theirs also international fast food chains not alot KFC, steers, debonairs and Spurs. My favourite spot to eat is in kariako where they have an evening food market where they barbeque chicken and sheeshkababs etc.

Is the nightlife good in Dar Es Salaam? Where is good to go?

The nightlife is good, people are always ready for a party. People enjoy having a good time.

What advice would you give future students heading to Dar Es Salaam?

Have an open mind. Get ready to get out your comfort zone. Dont allow yourself to get irritated by small imperfections. Prepair yourself to have an amazing cultural expirence.
