Júcar from the heights

Translated by flag-es Desi Pérez — 6 years ago

Original text by flag-es Laura de las heras

Approximately 30 kilometres away from Cuenca, in the middle of the mountain range, there's a great window from where you can see Júcar from the heights. It's 'Ventano del Diablo', a quirk of the nature or, what describes it better, a carved balcony on stone.

Beneath it, metres away from where we're observing, the green colour of pine trees merges with the blue of the running water moulding rocks. Sometimes, these are faster than water and pools are formed where you can enjoy a refreshing bath. Other times, water is more powerful than rocks and creates small waterfalls.

Above it, in the cave with the views, visitors can take photographs of the rock and of the landscape. Luckily you can spot eagles and other type of birds. Besides, in 'Ventano del Diablo' there is enough space to park the car and stalls selling local craft work.
