Experience in Cardiff University, United Kingdom by Sara
Generally, what is Cardiff University like?
Big university, friendly students.
What are the facilities like?
The Student's Union is very good with various places to eat and a nightclub which has some good events. There are at least five different libraries for specific schools which have a good range of books.
What are the tutors like?
Very helpful.
Are the lessons easy in Cardiff University?
It depends on the subject and year. As a psychology student, some of the classes can be more difficult than others and some subject material is a bit harder to get your head around. However overall, not too challenging and our tutors are always happy to answer questions about the course.
Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?
There are over 100 different societies and they each have their own socials and events so there is something for everyone. For example, the societies I am part of are the mountaineering (climbing) club, the gliding club and book club. Most subjects also have their own societies/clubs.
Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?
Generally, yes.
Are there any stories you can share?
In first year, someone projected a movie onto one of the accommodation buildings and lots of people were watching from their windows or sitting outside.
