Marketing & Communications Internship

Overview:

The GoAbroad Country Representative internship offers applicants the opportunity to work with a diverse group of professionals while developing skills including partner and customer relations, content creation, travel writing, outreach and communication, sales, and other project-based tasks. GoAbroad Ireland is an ideal place to learn more about international education, travel, and online marketing as well as the trends in each industry. The GoAbroad Ireland offices offer a friendly, energetic, and start-up like environment and are located in the picturesque seaside town of Youghal - just 40 minutes from Cork City Centre!

Basic Job Responsibilities:

• Promote GoAbroad to your dedicated country list through online and offline channels

• Devise your own marketing strategy to add to existing activities from your native country knowledge

• Attract new GoAbroad partners through your marketing activities

• Liaise with the marketing, IT and management teams

• Build on existing PR and client relations activities

• Attend exhibitions, open days, trade and education fairs if required

• Respond to GoAbroad email/telephone enquiries in your languages, including English

• Distribute GoAbroad literature in your home country if required

• Market research in your country, i.e relevant bloggers, publications, providers, schools, universities, etc.

• Complete language translation where required, i.e. website changes, adverts, blogs and press releases

• Write articles for the GoAbroad website as required

Time Commitment/Working Hours:

• 6 month internship runs from approximately September 7, 2015 - March 4, 2016

• Full time hours

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a communications / marketing / business degree program at an accredited institution OR completed a degree program at an accredited institution

• Previous international experience strongly preferred

• Must have laptop computer to use in the office

• Excellent written and spoken English

• Successful internship candidate is enthusiastic, task oriented, and creative

• Must be able to work in Youghal, Co. Cork, Ireland office

• Prior permission to live and work in the EU
