Danish Native-language Support for international Standardisation Project

  • Company name or name of the person in charge: Martin Böcker
  • Job vacancy: Danish Native-language Support for international Standardisation Project
  • Number of vacancies: 1

ETSI, the European Telecommunications Standards Institute, has published a few years ago ETSI Guide 203 499 on User-centred terminologies for existing and upcoming ICT devices, services and applications. The aim of that standardization document is to motivate manufacturers and service providers to employ both harmonized and user-friendly words in their products, thereby facilitating the use of those products by everybody, but in particular by people with cognitive impairments. The work is mandated and funded by the European Commission.

The published document covered English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

The Specialist Task Force 604 works on extending that document by 14 languages including Danish. We are looking for a Danish native speaker who will help us developing the Danish terminology. The applicant must be a native speaker of the Danish language.

There is a  method to be applied in this work, and online training on this will be provided.

We estimate the effort to be in the neighborhood of 60-100 hours and there will be a onetime payment of € 2.000 for the work of the native speaker.

If you are interested, contact me under email address provided above.

Dr. Martin Böcker
