What is it like to live in Compiegne? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Hi! Life in Compiegne seems to be hard at first sight, because of the cold weather, and the city, but in fact what is important is life at the UTC, students are very nice, there is a lot of parties, trip organized by students and for students, you're at 30 minutes of Paris by train, there are free buses in the city.

What is the student lifestyle like in Compiegne?

It's incredible. There are lots of things organized, party, visits, and lots of association for all, you can taste wine, sing in a comedy, learn to dance-rock, and more. The Erasmus association organizes lots of events, so you can meet people easily.

How much does it cost to live in Compiegne?

A flat given by ALESC (association for rent) cost 250-400 euros, it depends if you are with other people, and of the larger of the flat. There are free buses, but in Compiegne anyone moves by bicycle, you can rent one with an association. There is a Bar in the UTC where you can drink a beer for 1,50 euros.

Just go to the party organised by l'UTC, in discos every month, and parties in flats are generally open.

What advice would you give future students heading to Compiegne?

Even if Compiegne is not really attractive, we have a big associative life, don't be shy, come to the BDE and join us.
