32 year-old Masters student searching for Fall semester accomodation

I am an Erasmus student looking for accomodation of any kind. This will be my first time staying in Germany on long-term basis, and I am looking forward to exploring the cities and other neighbouring countries such as Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.  

I have no particular preference for accomodation type and roomates as this will be a chance for me to associate and make friends with people from different backgrounds. I am happy with my accomodation so long as the neighbourhood is a safe one and with basic living and convenient for me to go to the university.
