Why did you choose to go to Coburg, Germany?

Because of the language. I wanted to learn German.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

1200 EUR for 5 Months (the dorm of the Hochschule Coburg was 190EUR/Month and I could not rent it for less than 6 Months).

What is the student lifestyle like in Coburg?

Lectures often begin at 8-9, I learnt German in the "Studienkolleg Coburg", where I attended 20 Lectures/week. It was really easy to learn German! The afternoon is to buy groceries and such. Partys are usually on Wednesdays(at the Uni), Fridays and Saturdays (in the city).

Would you recommend the city and the University of Coburg to other students?

YES! The city is beautiful and a lot of international students live there. The Uni is good, the teachers are really friendly!

What is the food like?

For me it was really good, but they eat a lot of bread. German cuisine is really good!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Coburg?

Not at all, I was offered the dorm at the Uni. It's like a flat, the bathroom and kitchen are separated (25m2).

How much does it cost to live in Coburg?

For a month: about 400 (dorm:190 EUR other: 210 EUR).

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, but the best language courses are in the "Studienkolleg Coburg". If you would like to learn German there, you have to know a little bit of German. They tested my german knowledge first (I only had to speak about myself) because too many people want to learn there. I think it is the world's best German school!

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Coburg from your city?

For me by car. But of course, you can go there by train or plane (the nearest airport is Nürnberg's. It is about 100km from Coburg and there is a good possibility to travel from Nürberg to Coburg by train).

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Coburg?

Wolomoloo (latino nights, because there are a lot of spanish students) Uni parties, Hofgarten Coburg (the park, but not at night).

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Coburg?

Hungry Highlander, Hofbrauhaus and in Marktplatz there are a lot. And you have to try coburger bratwurst.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Marktplatz, the Theater, Veste Coburg and Coburg's surroundings.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Coburg in the future?

Yes, "In Deutschland muss man deutsch sprechen"= In Germany you have to speak German, because they do not like to speak English. Maybe they can not. Without any knowledge of German you are lost, people, but you can learn it really easily!
