What is it like to live in Chongqing? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

wonderful! Great food!!! as well as great historical sites. You will find cheap and delicious food everywhere. Lots of modern skyscrapers where you can watch film,shopping and enjoy fabulous food.

What is the student lifestyle like in Chongqing?

various and interesting. So many things you can do and you will never get bored.

How much does it cost to live in Chongqing?

cost in Chongqing is much cheaper than some other famous chinese cities such as HongKong,or Shanghai,Beijing. Things are always cheaper in China.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Chongqing? Is there any advice you can give?

I live there so I don't really know about accommodation.It's will be very convenient if you contact teachers in the school which you are going to help you find a good one.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is so great! But I have to tell put emphasis on chilli. Chongqing is famous for street food,hot pot,street barbecue,and all of them are spicy and hot. The flavor is especially strong in Chongqing. Salt, Sichuan pepper,chilli, spiced vinegar are used very often in our dishes.

What places would you recommend visiting in Chongqing?

I come from Shapingba district and I think it is great! I like it a lot. The Jiangbei district is also perfect for colorful life since it is more prosperous. Also there are quite a lot historical travel sites. You will gain a lot of information when you google it.

Is it good to eat out in Chongqing? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

You have to eat out in Chongqing! This is exactly my favorite thing to do no matter when I feel happy or upset. I don't have favorite spots to recommend. You need to discover it by yourself. Small restaurants in the streets which cook Sichuan spicy food like Rattan pepper chicken are really really good. We have so many delicious and typical spicy Sichuan food that I can't really give you recommendation! But if you don't like chilli, then you shouldn't come to Chongqing.

Is the nightlife good in Chongqing? Where is good to go?

Great! I always hang out with my friends. We will watch films, eat lots of street food, drink in pubs and sing in KTV. Pubs are great! At least much better than those I have been to in Finland. KTV is where you pay for hours and then you can sing with your fiends in the boxes.That is amazing! and I never find one in Finland.

What advice would you give future students heading to Chongqing?

Enjoy food there! Chongqing is a lively city,always crowded with crowd. Shops,restaurants,skyscrapers are everywhere.Traffic is convenient there since you got lots of choices. You can take taxies,subway,buses. No matter which means you like, you won't cost a lot. Traffic cost is cheap. Actually everything is cheaper and great!!
