Cassino is a really small town which is 2 hours away by train to Rome. Despite its size, food in this place should be notified for people loving Italian food. "Il Folletto" cornetteria (croissaint shop) is one of the places to let your mouths run water with its freshly baked goods.
Cornetto in Italy is softer than regular croissant and can be filled with anything you like. In this cornetteria, I recommend you to try a cornetto with the filling of cream (crema) and whipping cream (panna). Apart from that, you can have dark chocolate, white chocolate, nuts cream and nutella (YES, Italians LOVE Nutella!).
- a decent Italian cornetto / behind are bomba cakes -
This cornetteria can also serve you with the best crepes or bomba cakes or shell cakes (conchiglia) in town. The best part of this place is that it opens from 6pm until late night, until when all the shelves are totally empty (around 2 or 3 am next day).

Recently Cassino has become a destination for Erasmus students to come. It is not the best town for parties, but could be a nice place to spend time with new friends and enjoy goodies like these cornetto.
- for new comers, you can share with friends a mini stick like this.
a cornetto with nutella + a sfogliatelle with white chocolate
+ a bomba with dark chocolate + a bomba with cream -
P/s: Please dont forget that Il Folletto does not open on Monday night. All other days in the week are yours to enjoy :)
