Of the Republic of Tunisia (African)

Green Tunisia is one of the most beautiful Arab countries, its official name being the Republic of Tunisia, located on the continent of Africa on the Mediterranean coast, featuring its magnificent cities and its broad historical background, as many different civilizations have passed .

Perhaps the origin of the designation of the continent of Africa is Tunisia, where before Islam was named Afrika, then she was taken to African and the name moved to the whole continent. Tunisia continued to do so because it belonged to "Tinas", an ancient Berber village near Carthage inhabited by barbarians and then the Romans.

Tunisia is in the arms of both the Arab Sisters of Libya and Algeria, and it has some political and social stability, and its record of repression of freedoms is evident through the follow-up to the news and through a direct view of the reservation, the sense of any opinion and the infringement of power.

In addition to its cultural and civilizational status, there are numerous cultural and artistic festivals in which it is held, and Tunisia is endowed with many tourist attractions, which attract a large number of tourists arriving in the country to explore its historical monuments and enjoy the beaches on the coast Tunisian, picturesque landscapes,

From north to south, Tunisia can be divided into four topographic areas: in the north, the state cuts off some low-altitude ridges from the Atlas Hill Mountains in the south-west to the northeast, where the altitude ranges from 610 to 1.520 meters, and the valleys and fertile plains spread around the mountains in these Region, to the south the mountains reveal a plateau about 610 meters high, and to the south the plateau is gradually descending towards a series of low "beaches" (salt lakes) stretching from east to west across the country, and many of these lakes are located below sea level, in the south bordering the desert beaches Which make up about 40% of the area of Tunisian land, the only river in Tunisia is "the valley of the abstract" which passes north of Tunis from west to east and pours into the Gulf of Tunisia, and Tunisia has many eyes and mineral water in its various regions.

Climate

The region north of Tunisia has a temperate Mediterranean climate, and as we go south, the climate is warmer and drier, temperatures range from 11 degrees in January to 26 degrees in July, and the rainfall is about 24 inches per year, but the rate varies from one year to another, and the areas of smell A mechanism for the rainy season from October to May, the annual rainfall decreases as we go south where it is only about 7 inches in the desert, and one of the best times I recognize it to visit Tunisia between April and March because of the greenery and the fresh roses with its smart scent and the moderation of the atmosphere between Winter and summer.

A brief history of the Tunis region:

Since the 12th century B.C., Tunisia has established commercial and cultural relations with other Mediterranean peoples. Carthage, founded in 814 BC, has been known for its civilizational and commercial prosperity, making it coveted for the expansion of the Roman Empire.

The fall of Carthage into the hands of the Romans in the mid-second century BC was the beginning of the 700-year-old Roman domination, during which the urbanization and agriculture flourished until Tunisia became known as "buried in Rome." The many archaeological sites on Tunisian soil attest to the privileged position of Tunisia within the Roman Empire.

During the fifth and sixth centuries of birth, Roman domination diminished, leaving its place to the people of Ndendas and Byzantine. Islam entered Tunisia in the seventh century after birth.
