Why did you choose to go to Cartagena, Spain?

Because I was writing my graduation thesis there and my professor in Croatia had a colleague that is teaching in Cartagena and I was interested in scientific area of this professor.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

5 months long (400 euros for a month).

What is the student lifestyle like in Cartagena?

There are not so many clubs or places to go out but it is great that it is not so big city and there are not so many Erasmus students so everybody is hanging out, preparing diners in their flats... University has great libraries and everybody are friendly.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Cartagena to other students?

Yes, I would.

What is the food like?

Food is great. Lunch in cafeteria is about 4 euros but most of the students were cooking at home.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Cartagena?

No, I found it on Erasmus group on Facebook. I was sharing flat with other Erasmus students.

How much does it cost to live in Cartagena?

Around 250 euros with a rent and another costs if you are sharing a flat.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, Erasmus students are having Spanish classes.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Cartagena from your city?

There is a flight from Trieste to Valencia.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Cartagena?

I don't have any special recommendation, it depends on of the group of people with which you are hanging out with.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Cartagena?

The best tostada de tomate is in "Pani".

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Yes, Cartagena has a great history. There is Teatro Romano, a lot of museums, harbour etc.
