What is it like to live in Cartagena? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is very fun, the community is small so you get to meet a lot of people and get close to them. The city can feel sometimes too small but otherwise I recommend it. During the day it can feel like there is nothing to do but there is actually a lot though it can feel repetitive at times.

There are a lot of both high end cuisine as well as cheap local food. For high end the best restaurants are italian since there is a lot of italian immigrants and you can find good local seafood easily
