Experience in Cagliari, Italy by Silvia
What is it like to live in Cagliari? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Cagliari is not a big city, but this doesn't matter! It's full of pubs, clubs and places where enjoy your stay. You can choose to stay on the beach or in "Castello", the historical site which lies on a hill.
Transport is ok, not too expensive and there are discounts for students.
What is the student lifestyle like in Cagliari?
I think that students in Cagliari are the luckiest: wonderful weather, the beach, prices on average, a lot to eat and drink.
How much does it cost to live in Cagliari?
Without a rental payment, I think 200EUR are more than sufficient to go out, enjoy the city.. and survive! :)
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Cagliari? Is there any advice you can give?
I don't know
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Try for sure pasta con ricci, fregola con arselle and maialetto arresto
What places would you recommend visiting in Cagliari?
The beach of course, and the walls of Castello, Marina and Stampace.
Is it good to eat out in Cagliari? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
There are a lot of cheap but good Pizzerie, but in these places you have to wait for a table out..no reservation.
My recommendations are "Vai che ce n'è di più", "Mago Nicolino" y "Evelyn".
In Marina there are a lot of very good and not so expensive restaurants.
What advice would you give future students heading to Cagliari?
Come and see with your own eyes;)
