Places of accommodation in Budapest

Hi everyone!

Next year I will go erasmus to Budapest and I'm looking for the best (and cheapest) neighborhood in Budapest.

First of all, I would like to know the cheapest way to live there: living in an appartment with some other students or going to a student residence. Secondly, which part of Budapest (Buda or Pest) is better? Furthermore, which neighborhood is the most suitable one for the students? (party, cheap, etc.)
