Well another day, another shopping adventure. Like I mentioned before the shopping centers here don't really impress me. it's mostly about going there for buy some essentials or basically have some food or coffee. It's not as entertaining as our shopping sprees in Malaysia or even Iran. But when it comes to West End at least there is some entertainment at play here. West End is budapest's most famous shopping mall and if I'm not mistaken it's one of the largest ones. It's located exactly at "Nyugati Palyuvdar", which is easily accessible via metro line M3 and even the 4/6 tram. Just check the routes and get off at the above station.

If there is any brand you are looking for, West End is the place to go. It literally has every brand that has a branch here in Hungary and so it's safe to say if there isn't one here in Westend, they probably don't have it in Hungary. The only bad thing about this shopping center is that they don't have any map of the place and there are like only two information kiosks avaible, which is so incovenient you have no idea! Like for real today I was looking for a shop for 45 minutes and in the end I couldnt find it and gave up. Then on my way out I found the shop but It was closed; so imagine my frustration. Below I will include a list of the shops that they have in west end, just so you guys can use it as a refrence I mean of course there are more shops, but these are the ones that seemed important to me.

List of shops:

  • H & M ( Located in three floors, one of the largest stores in Budapest)
  • Bershka (One of my favorite medium range brands, you know where to buy gifts for me now)
  • Massimo dutti
  • Retro
  • Addidas
  • CCC (Large store, contains a lot of models for boots and shoes, I definitely suggest this store)
  • Office (Limited range of shoes and over priced)
  • Libri ( Located on the ground floor, english language selection of books isn't bad)

  • Pirex papir
  • SPAR
  • Mango
  • Zara
  • As for food branches, they have the regular fast food branches plus a nice food court which I went to today. The fast food brances include Mac Donalds, KFC, Burger King and a bunch of others. The food court is located on G floor and it has quite a bit of seating options, it's not as nice the food court in Corvin but it has more restaurants. There is Greek, Turkish, Mediterranean, American, seafood, grilled food and Italian food and of course Hungarian food is not to be forgotten. The prices are fair and are actually pretty afforable, I definitely suggest trying out the place.
