Process Engineer (full-time job)

Main tasks 

The process engineer is responsible for the design and sizing of wastewater, industrial water and drinking water treatment plants and also monitors R&D projects.

Design and sizing 
- Knows the different water treatment processes, their specificities and their field of application
- Defines the best treatment method after analysis of the available data
- Sizes the treatment works and selects the appropriate equipment
- Defines, in collaboration with the Process Manager, the limit operating conditions and contractual performances
- Analyses and anticipates technical and process risks

R&D
- Coordinates the monitoring of R&D projects and pilot installations 
- Ensures a technology watch, keeps abreast of the latest technical/process developments 
- Collaborates in the drafting of patents
- Ensures technical presentations at conferences and specialised trade fairs

Profile 
- Trained as a bio-engineer, civil/industrial chemical engineer or similar 
- Knowledge of processes (chemistry, mechanics, biology)
- Experience in water treatment or similar processes such as fermentation or chemical processes
- Has previous industrial experience in a process function or similar or is a PhD student / research assistant at university 
- Enjoys working in the field, knows how to work in a team and how to maintain good interaction with the project manager
- Good communication skills and able to present technical topics at conferences, fairs, ...
- French mother tongue, English is an asset, especially for report writing
