Accommodation is pretty expensive but easy to find online, specially close to the universities.

Do not expect to find a room for less than 450 eur, near the uni's you will find prices between that and 600.
Food is not to expensive compared to the rest of Europe.

You'll find people teaching French and Dutch everywhere. In the case of Dutch you can get classes for free.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Brussels?

Go at least once to the bar Delirium, but on a week day, it's packed every single day, so be there early.
If you want to chill and drink not too expensive beer, bar des amis, near the center is quite nice.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Brussels?

If you want cheap food you can get a hot dog and fries at several friteries in the city or go to the Greek/Turkish street behind the grand place.
Falstaff is one of the most famous places to eat mules and its about 17 eur per person.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Just walk around the city centre, you will surely bump into a church/palace/museum that you can visit. The arts museum is worth it.
If you're into it there are several very famous art nouveau buildings around he city.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Brussels in the future?

Stay near the centre. I'm living in the outskirts of Brussels and this is dead boring. It's a 40 min train ride to get to the centre if I wanna do anything at all.
