What is it like to live in Brussels? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Brussels is a universal city not only the heart of Europe but a nice mix of all nationalities. Sometimes it sounds like a cacophony as so many languages are spoke at the same place. I simply love it. Also it is MY city I was born there!

What is the student lifestyle like in Brussels?

universities are a bit on the outside but there is so much action. Also for students who like to do a job in horeac great!

How much does it cost to live in Brussels?

Brussels is pretty expensive, also for housing

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Brussels? Is there any advice you can give?

Rather difficult but all universities help out and have good accomodation list

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Every day you can taste the typical food of so many countries. Belgian food is great but just try all the other opportunities!

What places would you recommend visiting in Brussels?

Brussels is a walk through city there is La Grande Place, the Sablon donot forget to visite the little park opposite and to take the experience of the flee and antik market on sundays. We have the Magrit Musee or Musees are good. If you are in for strips you will find the Tintin musee great and then Belgium is so small so you can easely go from one place to another and discover how the whole countrie is an open air musee.

Is it good to eat out in Brussels? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Restaurant in all categories, different eat culture, food is great but rather expensive. Just try to avoid the very commercial Rue de Boucher except if you want to try the real Belgian Musels then go to Leon. Around the Sablmon you will find great food houses

Is the nightlife good in Brussels? Where is good to go?

i am more classical type so enjoy the opera house and concerts in Bozart. But nightlife is good

What advice would you give future students heading to Brussels?

Try as much as possible to walk through the city and meet with people of all nationalities
