Hello guys!

My name is Diana and I'm a Portuguese student that loves getting new experiences, while studying.

In fact, I did 2 times Erasmus - one in the bachelor and another one during the master. And again, while I'm finishing, I'm again working in another country.

I think it's really important for us to get as much as possible the experience on living abroad, in different countries.

My first adventure was in Spain, in Barcelona, 5 months. It was the first time I was really far away from home (I was living already in the city that I was study, but it was near to my parents' house). And you know what? It was great! (Ok, not a 100% great, but almost there).

Second one, and my favourite at all, was Brussels. During 8 months, I didn't go to Portugal. And I really missed my home, but I did so many incredible things, that I really which to come back!

Third one, now, Crieff, in Scotland. This one, I arrived now, I can't tell you a lot about it.

Let's talk about Brussels.

You know what? I felt home there - happy, confortable... The weather is not great, but we can live with it! People are amazing, the city is not too big but it's so nice, with a lot of different activities. You will have so much fun!

Lots of different beer (and amazing beer, by the way!), a lots of places to go and have a good drink or meal with your friends, good parties... I've loved it!

And the best part? Knowing different people, different cultures, because there, there is a lot of people of a lot of different countries, there is a lot of business, a lot of opportunities, that possible will create you great experiences and who knows, contacts for the future (friendships or even business).

Living in Brussels is not too expensive, you can always find a way to live confortable and have fun. You can travel a lot! you can book a bus and go around some cities of Europe with really small prices - I think that's why I was not interested to go to Portugal. I visit more countries that I ever did in my life, really! and I never spent my salary on it, it was everything with cheap prices.

Do you see the different places on Google in Brussels? The Bourse, The Atomium, The Grand Place, The Cinquentenaire, The European Comission and Parliament, The Mini-Europe, The monuments, all the gardens there and coffees and bars? There are such amazing places to discover! And everyhting near! And, furthermore, you can go to Brugges, which is so beautiful and near, and I'm sure you will love it!

Why I felt home there? Because I was really enjoying the city, I've met a lot of different people, I got great experiences knowing the city and it gave a very good oportunity to grow as a good professional on my business area.

Believe me, everyone that likes to travel, need to go there. And honestly, if you go on a Erasmus experience, you should put Brussels in your options. I'm sure you won't be disaponted. Probably you will love the city so bad that you will want to come back, as do I.

And... I promisse I will come back!

All the best,

Diana Brochado
