Where to stay in Braga

Hello everyone! My name is Maria and I am a Biology student from Greece who is coming in Braga in September for an Erasmus+ traineeship in the ICVS. 

Which area in Braga would be more convinient for me to live in? If I stay in Braga downtown, if there transport to the ICVS? Or it is better to live near the campus?
