What is the student lifestyle like in Braga?
They like to go to library and coffee shop to study. Sometime they go to the bars for party. They also have special festivals like ''enterego de gatta" and others with a lot of fun.
Some times I joined the events and some times did not.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Braga to other students?
Yes, it is nice city. A lot of stuffs we can find it and the location of the university to city centre is not so far. To walk around the suburb is nice and the connectivity between others cities is well connected.
What is the food like?
I like the fish
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Braga?
No. International Office of University of Minho helped me a lot to find accommodation in Braga.
How much does it cost to live in Braga?
2010-2012: 400 euros
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Yes, I got 2 weeks of Portuguese Language Course.
And I can practice my Portuguese when I go around.
Young people can speak English, it was not hard to communicate with local people.
I had TV, and it helped me a lot to understand Portuguese.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Braga from your city?
From Indonesia, I should take airplane. From Porto Airport, we can take shuttle bus and drop off in Braga Bus Station.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Braga?
I don't have any idea, I had not join night life in Brags during my stayed.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Braga?
Vegetarian restaurant in city centre (I forgot the name), food court in Braga Park, One rice duck restaurant in city centre.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Bom Jesus, Braga City Center which has a lot of city attractions (Se de Catedral, University of Minho Rectorat, opera building, museums, shopping centre, plaza).
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Braga in the future?
You should come, visit, and live in Braga. You will find so much enjoyable. Unforgettable memories.
