What is it like to live in Bologna? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It is students city from year 1088 and it is the best place for students life.
What is the student lifestyle like in Bologna?
In every corner there is a lot of places for students (bars, restaurants, bookshops)
How much does it cost to live in Bologna?
It is the most expensive place in Italy, even in Rome and Venezia is cheaper (comparing the prices of food and accommodation)
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bologna? Is there any advice you can give?
Yes because you have to spend a lot of money and you're receiving very low level (quality) accommodation.
Renting a room costs monthly 300-500 euro.
Renting studio (room, kitche, bathroom) 680 -1100 euro.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
"Bologna grassa" that's mean that is the best place for trying italian food, but is expensive.
Students meal at cantina costs 5 euro.
The best are gelati (icecreams), Spagetti alla bolognese, Pizza, Bistecca alla Florentina, Tortelini, and more.
What places would you recommend visiting in Bologna?
Is it good to eat out in Bologna? Can you tell us your favorite spots?
Yes all town is full of places with food. Look at ESN web page there are recommended places for students.
But I like cantine for TPER workers (the guys which driving public buses in Bologna) the cantine is located on Hugo Bassi 8 or 10.
Is the nightlife good in Bologna? Where is good to go?
Students are going to the nightclubs all nights. In the streets they are drinking different drinks.
What advice would you give future students heading to Bologna?
To arrange accommodation before coming to Bologna.
