Why did you choose to go to Bologna, Italy?

Bologna is a tourist city and the people are warm and friendly. Above all, University of Bologna is a great university to attend.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Well, this depends on ones package. Student loan which caters for the tuition only or Scholarship.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bologna?

It’s beautiful! So much unity and corporation amongst students regardless of nationality

Would you recommend the city and the University of Bologna to other students?

Sure both school and city are beautiful.

What is the food like?

Awesome!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Bologna?

Accommodation could be an issue in Bologna. I advise you come early enough to scout for. It costs time and money to get a decent place.

How much does it cost to live in Bologna?

Minimum of €500

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Well at first for foreign students it doesn’t come easy but with interest and interactions you should be fine.

There university organised some language courses for us. So yes, there are language schools readily available.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Bologna from your city?

Bus and trains are super cool and affordable.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Bologna?

Sorry guys, I’m not a fit!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Bologna?

Trattoria di Via Serra, Sfoglia Rina, Osteria dell’ Orsa.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Piazza Maggiore, Museo Civico Archeologico, Oratory of Battuti, Leaning Towers, Basilica di San Pietro.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Bologna in the future?

Try to learn basic Italian words before arrival. Language can be a huge barrier to a whole lot.

Arrive in good time to find accommodation, It’s an issue.

Prepare for fun and adventure.
