Experience in Norwegian School of Management BI, Norway by Peder
Generally, what is Norwegian School of Management BI like?
A modern-oriented school with some of the best faculties in Scandinavia. Its a place with a lot of different people; many nationalities and cultures all at one place.
What are the facilities like?
Honestly, the best I ever seen in a university: a new modern building, well-light and big classrooms, a place in the library for everyone, different coffee bars and restaurants, etc.
What are the tutors like?
On masters, tutors are really good, in my opinion. But there is some variation when it comes to bachelor's degrees, I think.
Are the lessons easy in Norwegian School of Management BI?
It depends on the subject. But if you attend the classes regularly, its easy.
Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?
There are a lot of student organizations at the school, its open for everyone, and they do everything from skiing in the mountains and all different sports to choirs. Its easy to find something you like to do.
Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?
Yes, definitely.
Are there any stories you can share?
In my five years at BI, I have a lot of stories. Funny stories from my exams and funny stories from Oslo in general, but if I have to share one, it will be the one where I missed the subway to my examination one year and got a lift by her royal highness, Crown princess Mette-Marit of Norway and her bodyguards. She have also done studies at Handelshøyskolen BI and she had a examination at the same place as me. It was surrealistic. Didn't know if I was going to ask her about the exam or about royal stuff. I tried to focus on my corporate finance exam, but had to use all my focus to talk to her like a royal.
