Looking for a nice and cheap place to stay during my PhD tenure

I am a 25 year old girl from Calcutta, India. I would be starting off with my Ph.D. program from November 2017, at FU Berlin. I am looking for a nice and bright apartment near the University and I am open to share with someone. Ideally, I am looking for a two bedroom apartment, where me and my roommate can have individual rooms to ourselves and the kitchen can be shared. I am also likely to rent a one bedroom apartment if the rent is affordable. If I sharing the apartment, I would prefer my roommate to be a fun person as I myself am one. Though I am not too good at cooking, but I am excellent at doing the dishes and other household chores. So, essentially I am a good pick!
