29 Year Old Australian Female Studying Abroad

I am looking for affordable housing (350 if possible) that has decent transport and friendly occupants. It can be furnished or not, I don't mind, I don't need a lot of space as I hope to travel a little, I just need space to sleep and study, cook when I can. I don't mind some involvement with housemates, a friendly drink or night out would be great but I am also happy to entertain myself and fly solo as I concentrate on studies and explore Berlin. We don't have to be besties at all but I'm happy to hear about your day and celebrate little wins together!

I would like somewhere close to public transport (walking or cycling distance at most) and preferably not too much of a party house. I enjoy the odd big night like anyone but don't have the stamina or interest for wild partying anymore! I don't care if you smoke/don't smoke, have pets or not. I don't mind if you are German or from elsewhere, all I am after is a friendly, safe home that I can feel comfortable in and ensure you feel the same. And maybe a little patience from you every so often as I learn the way of life in Germany!

About me:

• I only speak English but am trying to learn more German.
• I am a 29-year-old Australian female, I am mature but young at heart. 
• I will be studying a semester on exchange in Berlin at BTK University of Art and Design in Mitte.
• I have studied Performance, Music and Creative and Professional Writing.
• I smoke but am cutting down/quitting.
• I am clean, tidy and very respectful of space.
• I am communicative and considerate.
• I am Queer/Lesbian, my partner is staying in Aus while I study.
• I like to play Guitar, read, cycle and eat awesome food. I love a good laugh and interesting conversation.
• I always pay my rent and bills on time and am open to discussions regarding the needs of others.
• I have lived in shared housing for over ten years so can adapt easily to different people and new dynamics.

In my current share-house, I grow herbs and vegetables, do small repairs, problem-solve, entertain, cook and generally try to keep a good vibe. :) I am happy to abide by any "house rules" and negotiate things as we go along, all I want is open, honest people to live with and a small space of my own.
