26 year old boy from Pakistan, looking for accomodation in Berlin

Hallo! My name is Bilal Malik. I am a 26 year old male, coming to Berlin around mid of February for my masters studies (MSC Digital Marketing) at Berlin School of Business and Innovation. I am originally from Pakistan, where I also am currently living and working in the marketing function at a gases company.

Prior to this, I was in Malaysia as an international student for a bit over 6 years. There, I completed my bachelor's studies in marketing. I have lived in shared accommodations with people of many nationalities and backgrounds, and I believe I can adjust with people easily.

This is going to be my first time in Germany. I am going to stay there for a year and a half until September 2025. So I am looking for a room with a long term contract. Also, it needs to have city registration (Anmeldung), as I need it to open a bank account in Germany.

I'm a generally calm individual who enjoys spending time working in my room, though I am always down for a chat with the flatmates. I also like to maintain a clean house and I'm willing to contribute to cleaning. In my free time, I would like to explore Berlin. Also, I don't mind sharing a beer with my flatmates, cooking something together, inviting people over the weekend etc. I enjoy eating all kinds of food and partying with techno music. I only speak English, but I am eager to learn German, so it would be great if my flatmates are able to speak both English and German so we can easily communicate and I can work on my German language skills at the same time.

I also like to have a couple cigarettes during my day. If the place does not allow smoking inside the room then I don’t mind using the balcony if there is one.
