22-year-old student from Portugal looking for a room in a shared apartment in Berlin (starting in November 2023)

My name is Berke Santos and I am a 22-year-old Master’s degree student in Biomedical Engineering, from Portugal. During the next academic year, I am going to be working on my Thesis at the Zentrum für Astronomie und Astrophysik AG Astrobiologie (at TU Berlin) from November 2023 to July 2024 (this is the minimum period, but I hope it will be extended later on). Therefore, I am looking for a room in a shared apartment (with other students) that would be available for the desired time period.

My budget is 600 euros (“Warmmiete”) and ideally, I am looking for a location not to far from the University. However, as long as it is close to any form of public transportation or it is possible to store a bike, I do not mind living further away from TU Berlin.

I have previously lived in shared apartments in Portugal and therefore, I am used to this type of lifestyle. I am easy-going with people and although I am a bit shy at first, I tend to open up a lot once I get to know others better. I consider myself to be organized and tidy, always looking after things (in particular, when they do not belong to me). Overall, I treat people and places with respect!

I am fluent in Portuguese (my native language), but I can also speak English, Spanish (I was actually born in Barcelona), French and German (I understand most of the things said, just need to practice speaking and writing more).
