20 year old girl looking for accommodation in Berlin

I am moving from Brighton, England, to study at Humboldt Universitat in Berlin for a year. I am studying Anthropology and International Development. I speak a little German but am looking to improve. I am happy living with anyone but am particularly interested in living with musicians so that I can get involved in music while in Berlin. I am keen on living in areas such as Mitte or Kreuzberg but this is not crucial. Ideally the apartment would be near public transport.
