What is it like to live in Bayonne? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Bayonne is a small great city, good people, not much international students (2015-2016) only 63 international students. But still great experience.
What is the student lifestyle like in Bayonne?
Nice and simple. The great thing about Bayonne is : it is so close to Biarritz, Anglet, Hossegor, San jean de luz..... etc. The best cities to surf in France. And you can go by bus or even bike (1 hour).
How much does it cost to live in Bayonne?
The residences : 320 to 380 without the CAF. Living in an apartment between 200 and 400 depending on the size roommates and location.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bayonne? Is there any advice you can give?
For the residences you need to reserve in advance like 3 months before.
What is the food like? What are your favorite dishes?
Most of the time I have student dishes. It is alright. Didn't have a favorite dish from Bayonne... YET
What places would you recommend visiting in Bayonne?
The cities around.
Is it good to eat out in Bayonne? Can you tell us your favorite spots?
I didn't try Bayonne's restaurants yet.
Is the nightlife good in Bayonne? Where is good to go?
Each Thursday to "petit bayonne" (a neighbor full of bars) for students party. Friday to Biarritz.
What advice would you give future students heading to Bayonne?
You only have the chance to make one Erasmus so better enjoy it.
