Hello everyone! My name is Diana, I'm a researcher, a linguist and a PhD student from the University of Barcelona. In our research group we're exploring study abroad context and currently recruiting participants for our studies. We are looking for Erasmus students from Spain to take part in our research.

STUDY ESSENTIALS

As an Erasmus participant, you are likely to be interested in the actual linguistic gains you'll

make after studying abroad. So are we! In our research, we explore the relationship between language learning and study abroad experience, along with factors like individual differences, which may influence second language acquisition.

and see how much progress you've made after studying abroad.

PROCEDURE

The study will consist of two sessions - Pre-test: before going abroad, you will complete

written and oral tasks including questionnaires, open/ cloze tests, expected completion time - 60 min. - Post-test: upon finishing a semester/ a year abroad you'll complete similar tasks, expected completion time - 60 min.

COMPENSATION

Participants will be rewarded 20€ after completing BOTH parts of the tests.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS The selected participants must be native Spanish speakers, over 18 y.o. have B1 English proficiency level, equivalent to intermediate and above (on CEFR)
