Assistant Teacher Scholarship

Would you like to teach your mother tongue in a school in Spain or in the UK? EduEntry has available scholarship positions for English, French and Mandarin Chinese native speakers.

Role of assistant teachers

1. Working together with a teacher in the classroom.
2. Working on their own with small groups of students to introduce basic language or improve linguistic ability, with a focus on oral skills.
3. Helping to prepare pupils for oral examinations.
4. Contributing to cross-curricular work in collaboration with other subject areas e.g. engaging and relevant language-based projects.
5. Developing lesson plans and extra-curricular activities (e.g. lunch time clubs) focussed on their country's culture, suited to particular age-groups.
6. Supporting the creation and/or development of international project.

Working hours: 18h/week
Starting date: 01/10/2015
Ending date: 31/05/2016 Scholarship: 400€/month
Holidays: Assistant teachers have all the school holidays as law mentions for official teachers. Christmas, Easter, bank holidays, etc.                                                     Schools destinations: Barcelona, Madrid, Majorca island, Murcia, Seville, Girona (Spain) and Birmingham (UK).
Certificate: After the program is accomplished, assistant teachers will receive a teaching diploma certificate.
