Friendly Dutchman looking for a nice place to live in Barcelona

Hello!

My name is Simon Venema. I'm 22 years old and born and raised in a rather small city called Sneek (+/- 30.000 inhabitants), located in the northern part of the Netherlands. I've been studying at the University of Groningen for three years, and I've just received my Bachelor grade in Sociology. Now I'm looking for an adventure in an academic sense as well as in a great personal experience. I feel that Barcelona could offer me all of this and much more. From September on I'll be studying Sociology and Demography at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) for one academic year.

I'm not an extremely noisy person. However, I do play (bass)guitar every now and than. I also play in a local heavy rockband here in the Netherlands (which I unfortunately have to leave behind when I'm moving to Barcelona). I like a good party with a few beers (or more) every now and than, and sometimes more often than that. But I'm also a serious student who is motivated to graduate as soon as possible. Furthermore I am a responsible and tidy person (but not too tidy, if you know what I mean). 

I'm looking for a nice place to live in or near the center of Barcelona. The room does not have to be big or anything. I only have two demands: that the price is not too high, and that the roommates are cool people.
