20 year old male Australian student, looking for fun roommates in Barcelona during 7-month study exchange (January to June)

Hi, I’m Zack!

I’m a 20-year-old from Australia currently studying Medical Science at the University of Sydney. I’ll be coming to Barcelona fromearly January to mid/late June 2026 to study at UPF (Pompeu Fabra University) for Semesters 2 and 3.

I’m an outgoing and social person who loves going out to restaurants, pubs, parties- pretty much anything fun! I can also appreciate relaxed nights in, cooking together, playing board games, or watching something good, especially a horror movie. 

I’m looking for roommates who are friendly, social, and keen to make the most of the exchange experience- hanging out, exploring Barcelona, and travelling on weekends. One of my main goals is to improve my Spanish, so I’d love to live with locals or other internationals who also want to practice together. I speak English fluently so I'd be more than happy to help others practice their English! I love to ski so it would be even better to have some people to go with.

Ideally, I’m looking for an apartment with around three roommates, where I have my own comfortable room (ideally with a desk) and good shared spaces to hang out. Air conditioning, at least in the bedrooms, is a must-have for me, and I’d love a proper kitchen to be able to cook in. I am very tidy so would also appreciate roommates who keep our shared places clean. I'm not a smoker so I want to live in a non-smoking household.

I’ll be studying at the UPF Mar campus, so I’m hoping to live nearby in areas like La Barcelonetaor or El Born, though I’m open to anywhere well connected to the metro. I would love to be in the hustle and bustle of the city. My budget is flexible but I'm currently thinking around €400-800/month.
