2 beaches close to Athens!

Winter is coming, and some of us are already accommodated and starting a new life in Athens, it's time to rest and maybe this weekend you can enjoy the exotic landscapes that Athens offers through its nearby and Mediterranean beaches.

For this reason, I would like to share with you all I know about this, and I hope that many of you, after reading this post, decide to take a day and visit some of the spots of what I am speaking about right down:

Two Beautiful Beaches in Athens:

Alimos: 11 km to the South of the city

Description: Due to its closeness to Athens city centre, this is one of the most popular beaches close to town. Many cafeterias and sports centres surround this beach.

There are showers and beach umbrellas available and even exciting water sports like jet skiing and windsurfing, it's all here at Alimos beach.

Kokkino Limanaki Athens: 27km to the East

Its name means "the little red harbour", because of the colour of the cliffs. The surrounding is really nice and green, it's just the typical Mediterranean forest beach with pines and white sand. It's a calm place where you can relax and it's a beautiful place to practice scuba diving, too.
