Hi everyone, I would like to tell about one of the small and incredibly beautiful cities of Italy.
Assisi is the birthplace of San Francesco d'Assisi, where you can find a lot of chirches and cathedrals. And it is kind of impossible to visit all of them, so it's better to climb up to Rocca Maggiore and see the real beauty of this small, cosy but at the same time the city with large and wide history. For reaching at the top you really need patience and a couple of strong legs :) But in the end You will realise that it was a worthly place.
First thing You will notice will be an enormous fortress built in 1316: the Rocca Maggiore dominated by more than eight hundred years, the citadel Assisi ofand the valley of Tescio, constituting the most viable fortification for their defense. You can also enter the fortress by buying a ticket and admire the strongness of the building from inside.
But it is not the only thing to see there. The mount is so high that you can see the whole city and even try to count the churches and cathedrals, which was impossible to do for me :) So the panorama is breathtaking, You can climb in the evening and see the red queen of the skies going down and the white clouds movements.
It was really an unfergottable experience for me. Hope You will like it too. :)
