Asmara is the capital and largest city of Eritrea, the East African country. It's has modest climate with constant whether. So a lot of people love to live there.
What is the student lifestyle like in Asmara?
It's more moder life, and we engage in weekends fun and go to cafeteria with your friends, parting, having fun in night clubs with friends.. so on
How much does it cost to live in Asmara?
It's not that expensive. You can just pay for rent, food and other stuff with just 100$
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Asmara? Is there any advice you can give?
Not at all. It depends on your education and activities level
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
We have so many traditional cuisines, but I love to eat zigni, which is made of chicken or meat. And porridge, we make it with white flour.
What places would you recommend visiting in Asmara?
They are a lot of places to visit in Asmara, since it's has so many ancient places and buildings.
Is it good to eat out in Asmara? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Of course it's! Asmara is very clean and peaceful unlike most African countries. You can normally walk around the streets when ever you feel to get a fresh air. Evening is so beautiful in Asmara.
Is the nightlife good in Asmara? Where is good to go?
It's quite nice especially in the weekends. Harnet Ave is one of the most crowded street ever evening, and it has a beating view.
What advice would you give future students heading to Asmara?
You must visit Asmara one day in your life time. And then you get the chance to know more about Eritrean and its inhabitants.
