A-Bike; The place to be for bike rentals & tours in Amsterdam. We are the leading provider In Amsterdam with more than 70.000 rentals and 5000 customers in our tours and growing. We give our guests a wonderful and unforgettable biking experience. All our customers get a 5 star treatment. Whether is it big or small, pro or beginner, our wide variety of offerings ensures we’ve always got the perfect bike and tour. Currently we have 4 A-Bike Rental &Tours shops in the center of Amsterdam.

We are, ASAP, looking for:

Sales Tigers

Part-time and full-time

As our Sales Tiger you will be the first point of contact for our prospective guests: People from around the world that are looking for the best way to spend their time in Amsterdam. You will assist the customers with our tours and rentals, make recommendations, help them with bookings and administer our bike rentals. You will also provide support to our tour operation. All to ensure that everything goes smoothly and that our guests have a fantastic experience.

You love helping people. You know how much is at stake for our guests – that they are choosing to spend time & money with us – and you want to help ensure that they feel welcome and that they make the most of their time while with us, and while in the city.

You’ll connect with our guests regularly by phone, by email, online, and in person, so strong communication skills are essential. You will be trusted to work independently while also contributing to our team. You are an energetic self-starter with good judgment who does the right thing. This is a challenging and rewarding role in a dynamic environment, requiring an ability to stay organized and focused.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

· You welcome and accompany our guests who visit our shops to rent a bike or who are interested in a bike tour;

· Excellent customer service and support of our national and international clients;

· Active sales of our A-Bike products; rental bikes and /or bike tours in Amsterdam;

· You tell and inform our guests about our A-bike rental & tours service;

· You have a pro-active attitude towards guests when it comes down to service, sales and entertainment;

· You are responsible to achieve an ultimate customer (A-bike) experience;

· You are responsible to support and control the cash desk and administration

YOUR SKILLS

On a practical level, we need caring, fun making, and responsible candidates who have:

· Experience working with the public in customer service, hospitality or tourism;

· An interest in connecting with people from all over the world;

· Strong organizational and communication skills;

· Familiarity with cycling in Amsterdam is a definite asset;

· Speaking languages other than English would be an asset (particularly French, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese)

· You are a positive, friendly and outgoing person who loves people and makes sure they have the best time and experience possible;

· Experience in a shop sales position;

· A sales driven and result oriented attitude;

· A team player attitude but don’t mind working now and then on your own;

· An availability on a flexible basis;

· Don’t mind to work in weekends and holidays.

· Love for hospitality and are very service oriented.

Our Sales Tigers come from a variety of backgrounds, but they all love helping people, live in (and love) Amsterdam, and are strong communicators who can stay organized in a fast paced environment.
