Young English couple looking for accommodation in Amsterdam or surrounding areas.

I'm a 20 year old English student, looking for a accomodation with my partner in Amsterdam or surrounding areas (Haarlem) as I will be starting at the University at the beginning of September. My partner is a 23 year old chef. We are both very socialble but work hard; we will both be looking for work as soon as we arrive in the country. Neither of us speak Dutch yet but, if we are able to find accomodation, will be learning asap. I will be studying Linguistics, I also speak French and a bit of Spanish and am qualified as an English Language teacher after completing the Cambridge English Language Degree.
We are really hoping to find some affordable accomodation so that we can move to the Netherlands and I can complete my bachelors degree.
