27 year old masters student, looking for accommodation in Amsterdam

Hello!

I will be moving to Amsterdam in August from the US to start a two-year masters degree at the University of Amsterdam. I'm currently looking for shared housing accomodations in the city. The university has set me up with housing in Diemen but I would prefer to live in a neighborhood that is a bit more centrally located. Since I will be traveling light, I will give preference to housing arrangments that are fully or partially furnished.  

I would consider myself a pretty laid back person who likes to hangout on occasion with roommates. I prioritize cleaning common spaces regularly and generally keep my personal area tidy.
