23 yo student moving to Amsterdam in August

Hi :)

My name is Dennis! I'm a 23 year old engineering student from Germany. As of September I will begin my Master’s degree at the Advanced Metropolitan Solutions (AMS) Institute . For that, I seek to find an accommodation for up to two years in Amsterdam starting in August.

So far I have only one experience studying abroad thanks to Erasmus. The fact that I had the best time of my life living in Edinburgh influenced my decision to leave Germany a lot. The Netherlands to me are a progressive, down-to-earth country with a overall chill vibe in the centre of Europe. Short: A place where I want to be!

I want my study experience to be as authentic as possible and dive into the cosmopolitan vibe of the city. But I also intend to start learning dutch within the next couple of weeks, which will be quite manageable hopefully as a bilingual german native speaker. Both can be perfectly achieved with a home base in Amsterdam that provides all urban necessities for me.

Friends describe be as a responsible, open-minded and fun person to hang out with. On nights out I personally prefer to go to a venue where the music volume still allows you to have a pleaasant conversation. At the same time I consider dinner parties with board games and other quality time activities to be a successful night.

Another thing that I value a lot are orderly and clean common spaces in the apartment since I have a dust allergy. That is why I am always in favor to establish an (informal) cleaning plan. I am a non-smoker and do not own any pets.
