22 year old english girl looking for a room

Hi there! 

My name is Molly, I'm from Brighton and I'm 22. I've decided after several gap years that its now time for me to go to university, and I'll be moving to Amsterdam this August to study Linguistics at the UVA. I love the city and I can't wait to live here. I'm very excited to start my course, and I'd like to learn Dutch while I'm here. 

I applied for uni housing but unfortunately didn't get a place, so I'm now looking at other options - with not a lot of time left! It would be great to share with other students, but I have no preference regarding the age/gender of my roommates.

I'm looking for a private, furnished room - it doesn't have to be too big, just comfortable. My budget is pretty low so I'm looking at maximum £500 a month, including bills. I have no problem sharing bathrooms, kitchens or living areas. A balcony, or a room where smoking is allowed would be a huge plus! I'd like to avoid using public transport so anywhere within walking/cycling distance to the city centre would be great.

I'm a respectful roommate - I won't make lots of noise, stay up late or leave lots of mess. I'm a pretty friendly and open minded person and I'd like to meet people that I can have fun with and get along with, it makes a much nicer home environment. It would be great to share with people who are all willing to pitch in with cleaning/shopping etc. 

I will be mainly focusing on my studies but in my spare time I love to read, cook, listen to music, and spend as much time as I can discovering everything Amsterdam has to offer.
